Last week, Project Lighthouse took part in Bridges Athens, an international innovation gathering for innovators, researchers, and technology-driven organizations supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The event brought together participants from across the world, creating a dynamic environment where ideas flowed freely and new collaborations began to form.

Our participation focused on one of our core values:
working with others to build technology that serves society.
Exploring solutions in Aquaculture
During a dedicated round-table on Aquaculture, our CTO and Co-Founder Anastasios Giannaros joined a diverse group of experts to co-design an initial project concept addressing challenges in sustainable aquaculture. Through open discussion and collaborative thinking, the group identified pain points, shared perspectives, and mapped out how each participant’s expertise could contribute to a meaningful solution.
This experience reflects what we believe in as an organization:
complex challenges are best solved when multiple disciplines and viewpoints come together.
A space for meaningful networking
Bridges Athens also offered valuable opportunities for global networking. Connecting with professionals from different regions and fields broadened our understanding of how emerging technologies can be applied to real-world needs. These conversations help us refine our work in civilization tech, leveraging digital innovation to improve health, democracy, education, culture, and environmental sustainability.

Looking ahead
Project Lighthouse remains committed to contributing to projects that combine technological excellence with social purpose. Events like Bridges Athens remind us that impactful innovation begins with dialogue, community, and a shared vision for a better future.
